INFLAMMATORY SKIN AND OBESITY MEDICINE CLINIC
About the Profession
Not only is it important to treat the inflammation in cutaneous diseases, but we need to focus on overall inflammation in patients, by addressing their obesity. I completed the requirements set forth by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, to not only become board-certified, but to better understand the pathophysiology of obesity and different treatment strategies. I now run a Cutaneous inflammation and Obesity clinic, where my patients who suffer from inflammatory cutaneous conditions can also have their obesity addressed in a safe environment.
Listen to the LearnSkin podcast where Dr. Dabiri walks us through the relationship of obesity and the skin. Listen in as she discusses obesity related skin diseases, how to use "people first" language, and the clinical possibilities of GLP-1 medications.
